Descriptions

One line

Ride your scooter around the neighborhood, do tricks and help your neighbors.

One paragraph

Think GTA, except you are a kid on a kick scooter, the map is a few suburban blocks of a real Minnesota neighborhood, and the worst you can do is ding-dong-ditch Mrs. Henderson. Ride, hop, grind, deliver papers, help a neighbor with the groceries, sneak a prank past the Neighborhood Watch, take the dog to the lake, and go to bed to a newspaper about your day.

Short description, as on Steam

Ride a kick scooter through a real Minnesota neighborhood: pull tricks, stir up a little trouble, make it right, and bring the dog. A family-friendly open world for one to eight kids, with three seasons, a lake, a real night sky and a bedtime newspaper about your day.

Long description

Ride and pull tricks

Real streets with their lane counts, stop signs, trails and sidewalks, and more than a hundred jumps, grind rails, leaf piles and swinging gates to find on them. Twelve stunt jumps slow time and swing a side-on camera. Rides are pluggable: scooter, bike, BMX, skateboard, roller blades, Power Wheels, a go-kart, a dirt bike, a hoverboard and more, with a radio of four procedural stations on every one.

Mischief with consequences

Ding-dong-ditch, chalk, a slingshot and tin cans, water balloons, a super soaker, lawn donuts. The trouble meter is a four-star wanted level: one star and a neighbor shouts, three and the Neighborhood Watch rides in, four and Officer Reyes sees you home early. Break a window and you can own up and sweep, or pay for the glass. Good deeds, chores and a paper route bring the stars back down and earn cred.

Klaus

Klaus is Leo's dog. He waits on the lawn, runs alongside, rides in the bow of the boat, chases tennis balls and frisbees, learns eight tricks for treats from the tin, and shows them off to passing neighbors. You can change his breed, coat and name in the customizer.

The lake and the seasons

The lake has a pier, boats to paddle and motor, a buoy slalom, a Saturday fishing derby and a raft to cannonball off. Fall has leaf piles, pumpkins and a block party at dusk. Winter freezes the lake for ice fishing and pond hockey, plows the roads, builds a sledding hill and snowmen, and brings flurries and afternoon blizzards. Summer brings sprinklers, lemonade, chores, fireflies and a thunderstorm every third day with a rainbow after. After dark, Grandpa's backyard telescope shows a real Minnesota night sky with twelve constellations to find.

A neighborhood that reacts

The mail truck and the school bus run their rounds, geese hold up traffic, cars honk, neighbors have routines and opinions, and the weather fills eighty real puddles that dry in the sun and freeze in winter. Sixteen story chapters, Grandpa Joe's riddle book with fourteen hidden tins, a Sunday Skate Jam, backyard motocross and a full map with a legend keep the days different. Every night the Gazette reports what you actually did.

Play together

Up to eight kids in one neighborhood over the internet, by room code, with no accounts: everyone sees each other's rides, tricks, throws, dogs, soakers, windows and wipeouts, and talks with a menu of preset phrases, never free text. Six kid profiles on one machine, each with their own Leo from the avatar builder, their own save and their own trophies. Full controller support, Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud.

Meet the neighborhood

The game is named after a real child whose look is in the art. Please write about the character in the game, not the kid: no surnames, no school, no city.
